Key considerations in the design included: developing a layout structured around frequency of use; and addressing the diverse requirements of the three distinct functions within the building: public spaces, training areas, teaching and office areas. Aspects such as climate control, acoustic treatment, technology integration, circulation and way finding were approached differently for each of these functions ;. Training spaces in the design included: Seminar Rooms, Manual Handling rooms, Computer Tutorials rooms; Clinical Skills rooms (connected to ANUMS via a bridge link); and Immersive Learning scenario spaces.
