It provided a showcase for new technologies and ways of building complex forms using computer modelling both in modelling the architecture and translated directly into steel fabrication.

Alastair Falconer was responsible for the theatre design of Circa, Visions Theatre and the Broadcast studio as well as K Space computer animation design area, demonstrating high level of technical knowledge in theatre design and technology integration. Further to this, his work as site architect during construction phase involved extensive documentation of the internal spaces including the Main hall, and 6,600m2 of gallery space to facilitate the integration of exhibition design including lighting, mechanical, electrical and audio components .
