Project sheet- WODEN School Extension

Project INFORMATION

Woden School design and documentation provided three new classrooms with multiuse wet and dry areas, for students with special learning needs.

Location

Deakin, ACT, Australia

Interesting elements

The facilities were added onto the existing building fabric in an aesthetically seamless extension incorporating the existing style and detailing of the school exterior, while enhancing the accessibility and light quality of the interior. The new works captured natural lighting and used large easy to use sliding panels for increased connection and flow to the controlled garden space outside. With the classrooms containing wet dry and multi-use areas tailored to increased flexibility.
